Product Overview

Vallisneria Spiralis is an excellent plant for beginners or some one who's looking for an easy growing plant  , it grows under any light or water conditions.

This plant is very low demand and doesn't require CO2 or fertilisers, the fish waste is enough as a fertiliser, but if you add CO2 and fertiliser it will grow better ( DIY CO2 is more than enough for this plant, I tried it and it works very well). Growth is also really fast.

The leaves are also narrow so they do not overshadow smaller plants. Forms runners easily, and is thus easy to propagate.

This plant looks very pretty in the aquarium for being a non-descript grass-like plant. The leaves sway back and forth in an almost hypnotic way and it takes up very little space in the tank. So far my betta fish seem to like it. I am pleased with the purchase as well as the fast shipping. I received my order within 3 days of placing the order.

    Sadly Broken

Posted by Jamie Sayegh on 27th Nov 2013

I just received my order of one Anubias Coffeefolia and three Vallisneria Itallian corckscrew. The Anubias is beautiful and healthy, but the Vallisneria came with mostly broken leaves.

One was so bad that none of the leaves were salvageable and is now just about an inch of broken stems; I'm hoping it may grow from that. the other two plants only had a couple unbroken leaves apiece. Saving grace, he did include a free jungle Val that came out alright.

Clearly, care was shown with the packaging, so perhaps these plants are just difficult to ship safely.

I will still buy from Ron again, but maybe not this particular plant.

    From APB
Vals can be difficult to ship if mishandeled but come back in a very short time normally.

The Vallisneria spiralis I ordered are great. Very healthy plants and two already had runners with plants starting to grow on them. Thanks Ron, I will be back soon.

amazed at these beautiful, dark green, healthy plants

Posted by Tim Allen on 19th Oct 2012

I just had to tell you and anybody that will read this, that today I received my order. I was amazed at these beautiful, dark green, healthy plants. This was my first order from you, but won't be my last. I was also impressed at the speed of the delivery. I just wish you had a bigger selection as I had a large order, and had to go to three different suppliers to fill my order. After getting my plants I "REALLY" wish you had them all, but I will be back to get shrimp from you soon. Thanks, Tim Allen
