Green Myrio, Myriophyllum pinnatum, is also known as Green Foxtail or Green Water Milfoil. The leaves of Myrios are quite thin and have a very soft appearance when gently brushed by the water currents. Green Myrio is a native of North America. The plant is recommended for aquatic gardeners with some experience because of its rapid growth rate, which has the effect of inhibiting algae by competing for the same nutrients. If pruning schedules are kept, the novice should have no problems with Green Myrio, as it is adaptable to a wide variety of water conditions. Reproduction is accomplished primarily through cuttings.
