This plant is an easy plant to grow and does well in a wide range of water conditions.
It prefers a temperature range of 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit 6.4-7.0 pH, and slightly soft to moderate water.
Sometimes when first introducing Eleocharis parvula to new aquariums browning or decaying stems may occur. This adjustment period is a natural process of this plant as it needs to adapt to its new environment or transition from emersed growth.
It doesn't necessarily need bright lighting to thrive, i have seen it grow very well under moderate light with no fertilisation. That said: CO2 and fertilisation, especially substrate ferts will really help.
Trimming will help stimulate the low 'lawn' effect. This plant will propegate itself with runners and make a thick lawn looking area in your tank in no time.
